Abstract :
In this paper, a new type of power-split Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system based on Ravigneaux Planetary Mechanism (RPM) is introduced. The Lever Analogy is adopted to study the mechanics and kinematics of the mechanism. According to the result of the analysis, the operating modes of the power-split HEV system based on the RPM are designed and distinguished.
