Abstract :
A new type of non-sinusoidal oscillation system of the mold in continuous casting is developed, which is made up of the generating device of antiparallel four-bar linkage and guidance mechanism of the cascaded whole-leaf spring mechanism. Elastodynamic analysis of the whole system is done. It is found that very serious elastic vibration will occur in the system at some frequence which can greatly impact the quality of strand and must be reduced or avoided. Then the reason and some effective methods of decreasing elastic vibration are mainly studied.
