Abstract :
This paper presents a pole placement direct adaptive control for not necessarily minimum phase plants, which is robust with respect to unmodeled dynamics and bounded disturbances. The robustness is achieved by using both a normalized least squares algorithm with dead zone and an appropriate nonlinear feedback. The resulting closed loop system is shown to be globally stable subject to standard assumptions.
