  • Abstract
    We have developed a 3 Gbps ultraminiature active optical cable connector which is suitable for high-speed data transmission on PCB. This active optical connector is designed as a surface mount component with a similar assembly method of an electrical connector. This connector brings optical wiring to the inside of the box of a data system. It will contribute to the solution of EMI noise and high-speed signal integrity. This paper describes the basic characteristics of the developed active optical connector.
