Abstract
This paper considers the problem of modeling a given linear discrete time-invariant system by a time-invariant reduced order model. The method proposed here is based on minimizing the difference between the system outputs and the reduced order model outputs in stochastic steady state. The optimal model parameters arc given by a set of ten simultaneous equations of which only one is non-linear.
