Abstract :
The paper shows the efficiency of the H∞ control design methodology applied to the active power filtering problem. First, a continuous time H∞ controller is designed, which achieves all the performance and robustness properties required. An effective 18th order discrete regulator is then derived from the continuous one in an original way. Finally, the operational aspects are considered and solved by using a conditioning technique. Experimental tests prove the validity of our approach.
