Abstract :
An investigation of the robust stability of a pulse-width modulated buck DC-DC converter is carried out, considering the uncertainty in the components used for the converter circuit. An alternative method which is less conservative than the Kharitonov Theorem (1978) approach is used to find robust stability bounds and to show that the compensated system of the device remains stable when the capacitor and the equivalent averaged resistance vary over large intervals around their nominal values.
