Abstract
It is desirable that the numerically computed trajectories for a continuous-time system should satisfy any known conservation laws for that system and stay on required constraint hypersurfaces. Time-discretizations with such properties are obtained by extending the midpoint method and the telescoping-sum method of Greenspan
