Abstract :
Wire shape conductor will be forced by magnetic field when a current pulse is applied. This phenomenon is commonly used in the measurement of electron beam device, as the wire can be a duplicate of the beam trajectory. In this paper, finite element analysis (FEA) coupled method is first proposed to simulate the pulsed wire method. FEA simulation platform is built to analyze the electric, magnetic and structural coupled field, which shows that the magnetic field distribution has relation to wire deformation and vibration. Typical magnet model, finite element equation and coupled iteration steps are present. Both static and transient coupled analysis results are shown.
