Abstract :
An integrated circuit chip set has been developed that realizes a color nonimpact printer power supply and motor control system. The two ICs include three switch mode PWM controllers, two unipolar stepper motor drivers, a DC motor H-bridge, a serial control port, and a host of peripheral system functions. Focus is placed on power management and how individual circuits are customized to minimize on-chip power dissipation
