In a competitive electricity supply market, a method is required to correctly apportion charges for generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power. Collectively, this has come to be known as Settlement. The heart of Settlement is the ability to meter consumption not just to provide monthly or quarterly totals, but also to generate a profile of consumption over 24 hours.
