Abstract :
The impact of electricity market deregulation on meter testing is discussed. The purpose of regulations governing meter testing is presented by examining the expectations of various affected parties. Current and future testing requirements are presented in the context of the metrological framework of ISO Guide 25 accreditation. The requirements set by ISO Guide 25 on meter test laboratories are reviewed and a systematic approach to the integration of meter testing with documented quality systems is introduced
