Abstract :
Electric utility companies are giving more attention to the remote control and monitoring of vital network components by using the transmission capability of the power distribution network itself. In this paper, the realisation of an integrated modem chip for power line carrier technology is presented. The circuit, which is mainly digital, integrates the digital hardware blocks, the microprocessor and its software and the analog front end. Despite its focus on S-FSK modulation, the digital programmable architecture enables this chip to be adapted to alternate standards
