On the basis of routine monitoring data, eutrophic state of some reservoir was discriminated by drophic state index and limiting factor on the reservoir eutrophication was analysised also. The results showed that there was a developing trend to eutrophication in spite of good water quality and medium eutrophic state about the reservoir, and phosphorus was limiting factor of reservoir eutrophication. At the same time, comprehensive prevention-control measures on lake and reservoir eutrophication were put forward, including external pollution sources and internal pollution sources control. The purpose aims at theoretical basis for rapid discrimination and prevention-control of lake and reservoir eutrophication.
