Abstract
Building a power plant that minimizes the impact on the environment implies increased attention in planning, designing and functioning of the installations. This paper presents the issues caused by the power plants upon the environment, as well as the good neighborliness practices developed with the purpose of improving the public image of the power plants. We shall introduce operating notions concerning traffic, noises, odors, air pollution, water quality, germ carriers and cleanliness keeping.
