Abstract :
In this paper, a quasi-static technique based on a simple transmission line model is used for studying a planar artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) surface. The results of this quasi-static model are verified with previously published results. This quasi-static solution is used as a fast efficient technique to obtain the effects of the different parameters on the center frequency and the operating bandwidth of a planar AMC surface. These parameters include the patch width, the gap width between the patches, the relative permittivity of the substrate and the substrate thickness
