Abstract :
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Space Division Multiplexing (SDM) has been considered as a potential technique to gain an enormous system capacity and to achieve the reliable Bit Error Rate (BER). It is necessary to design the system having low complexity structure and high performance in detecting reconstructing the signal at the receiver. In this paper, different detector algorithms including linear detections, Ordered Successive Interference Cancellation (OSIC) detections and Maximum Likelihood Decoding (MLD) are studied and designed by using Simulink simulation. This paper also simulates and discusses about the MIMO - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) SDM system, which allows the system to transmit the high-speed data rate and to robust against the selective frequency channel. The MIMO-OFDM SDM system with a special pilot inserted scheme for channel estimation process is simulated to evaluate the performance comparisons different detector algorithms in wireless local area networks (WLAN) channel and Outdoor to Indoor, Pedestrian environment (ITU-R channel model).
