Wave energy generation is one of the most significant directions in renewable resource generation, and it has attracted more attentions in researching fields than ever; But there is a gap between scientific research and theoretical education. This article firstly introduces different kinds of wave energy generation methods and the device being researched; Secondly, the relationship between wave forces and geometric figure is studied, the energy calculation is discussed, and the power and efficiency of the device is investigated; Thirdly, the progress of energy transformation is introduced, and a feasible wave energy generation instructive device is brought forward. Simulation based on MATLAB is done on the device with proper data; Fourthly, critical problems in educational process of wave energy generation are analyzed. And some discussion about the developments of the device is carried out as a conclusion.
