Abstract
HVDC plants are often used to move large amounts of power over long distances and are thus vital for the energy supply in many parts of the world. The proper behavior of these HVDC links during the forthcoming millennium change is thus very important. This paper discusses the different systems in HVDC plants that use microprocessors and the effect the millennium change can have on these systems. Some results from performed investigations are also discussed
