Abstract :
Acupuncture is a time-honored oriental medicine, although acupuncture have been shown to be therapeutic but fundamental issues such as the mechanism of its treatment is still a mystery to the humankind. The aim of this work is to analyze the variation of neuron activity of the brain after the stimuli from the acupuncture. The analysis has been carried out by applying sample entropy, which is a non-linear organization estimator. Through the calculation, the sample entropy before the stimulation of acupuncture Neiguan and Shenmen was compared with after the stimulation. The result shows that the sample entropy is smaller after the stimulation of acupuncturing the acupoints Shenmen and Neiguan. It shows higher regularity of the EEG signal after the acupuncture compare to the signal before the acupuncture.
