Abstract
A new four-arm spiral antenna for microwave hyperthermia is presented in this paper. The finite element method was used to simulate the distributions of the electromagnetic fields and the specific absorption rate (SAR) of the four-arm spiral antenna in phantom muscle tissues. The simulation results show heating region of the four-arm spiral antenna can change as the frequency of input excitation. And heating region is complementary when the frequency of input excitation is 915MHz and 2450MHz. The tumor of various shapes is treating by controlling the power of input excitation.
