  • Abstract
    A current limiting scheme of the transformer-isolated multilevel H-bridges DSTATCOM is proposed. The novel scheme, based on the none zero seuence optimal algorithm, is able to compensate the negative sequence load current preferentially when the DSTATCOM capacity is not enough to compensate the full load current. Based on the current Limiting scheme, a holistic compensating scheme of DSTATCOM is proposed to make it adapt fluctuant load current. Finally a 2.5 Mvar DSTATCOM module is presented and the simulation results in PSCAD verify the validity and accuracy of the proposed current limiting scheme and the holistic compensating scheme.
