Message from the Program Chairs

Welcome to the 2nd International Symposium on Data, Privacy and E-Commerce (ISDPE 2010). The field of data processing, data privacy, and electronic commerce has seen a tremendous increase in interest in recent years. We hope that the research captured by the proceedings helps to advance this important field. On behalf of the technical program committee, we would like to thank all the authors who honored us by submitting their work to this symposium, thereby facilitating the success of this event. This year we received 54 submissions from authors in 14 countries all over the world. Although we had an extreme tight schedule, all papers received at least three peer reviews from our technical program committee and external reviewers. After a thorough analysis of the reviews returned, we accepted 21 papers for this conference, so the acceptance rate is roughly 39%. We would like to thank our program committee as well as external reviewers, consisting of high visibility researchers, whose dedication and hard work made the selection of papers for the proceedings possible.
