  • Abstract
In this paper, five naphthaquinones were regarded as research objects. The acute growth inhibition toxicities of naphthaquinones on Chlorella pyrenoidosa at 72h, expressed as median inhibit concentration (EC50) were determined. The results showed that these naphthaquinones were harmful, toxic and very toxic to C. pyrenoidosa. The active positions of these naphthoquinones acting on the biomacromolecule of C. pyrenoidosa maybe were 1-carbonyl and 2-alkyl of naphthoquinone via hydrogen bond and hydrophobic interaction. This study laid a foundation to evaluate the aquatic ecological risk and toxicology mechanism of naphthaquinones to C. pyrenoidosa.
