Abstract :
Compared to other energy storage form, SMES has prominent advantages. It is a mature superconducting power device in the power system. It owns a promising application prospects. This paper introduces operating principle, basic structure, the application in power system and other aspects about SMES. In addition, on the basis of understanding its different component parts, its core function, control strategy of power regulate is elaborated. A new effective improvement PWM control method is mentioned.
