Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present a performance comparison of different frequency selective current control techniques for three-phase voltage-source active power filters (APF). The APF reference currents are usually far from sinusoidal, thus, obtaining zero steady-state error is a challenging task. In terms of performance, the most promising current control solutions are based on frequency selective schemes. This paper compares the most representative among such current control schemes to identify the most suitable solution for an industrial implementation. Experimental results are presented for a 25 kVA shunt APF prototype compensating a nonlinear inductive load.
