Abstract
The structure of most converters used in three-phase systems is similar, with the capacity of energy storage and switching frequency being the main distinguishing features. However, dedicated control structures limit the application despite the commonality of the hardware. A novel control architecture is presented that provides maximum flexibility with respect to the application, thus resulting in a multifunctional converter system. Experimental results are presented to validate the multifunctional control architecture.
