Abstract
The delivery of documents judgements, notifications, tax-income-declaration is an elementary process in public administrations. For e-government, the electronic delivery is a central process, complementary to the electronic input process of form data. In the following, the Austrian model is introduced, which characteristics are openness, security and simplicity. The delivery takes place in form of a deposit and is accompanied by a electronic-notification. Due to using electronic signatures we can solve the problems of receivers authentification and also the confirmation of delivery. The model is about standards of information-exchange structures, concerning the different facettes of interoperability, legal frameworks of practical implementations and describing the main transactions between government and citizens/business.
