Abstract
This paper proposes a new ZVS-PWM Buck converter, which is based on the active clamping technique. With an active clamping cell, the voltage ringing caused by the resonance between the auxiliary inductor and parasitic capacitor is eliminated. Zero voltage switching (ZVS) can be achieved for all the switches. A 90 W/1 MHz ZVS PWM Buck converter is implemented to verify the theoretical analysis.
