Abstract
We present a Virtual Optical Network Resource Broker (VON RB) for elastic optical networks. The VON RB is responsible for managing the virtual elastic optical resources, and virtual GMPLS control resources (controllers, IP control channels), and for dynamically deploying virtual GMPLS-controlled elastic optical networks over a shared physical network infrastructure, through a virtual network topology manager (VNTM). We present novel VON resource allocation algorithms, which are deployed in the proposed VON RB and experimentally validated in the ADRENALINE testbed.
