Abstract

Telemedicine or e-medicine is the use of communication tools for the remote transmission of information related to medicine. Our work consists on realizing a teleconsultation system in order to interconnect Algerian hospitals between them, it allows the data exchange between doctors and/or therapeutic treatments. So in addition to standard computer equipments, each hospital must be equipped by: medical images acquisition appliances and a local network area linked to other hospitals via routers. Our system is based on n-tiers Web architecture and composed of: a patient database access module, a chat module, a forum, a news letter, a mail module and medical images acquisition module which supports DICOM (medical images norm) images format. We will describe in details the design, the architecture and the implementation of our system.
