Abstract
In the process of searching possible ways to increase the power and microwave pulse duration of Cerenkov type microwave generators a transition to the usage of two-sectional overmoded axially-symmetric slow-wave structures (SWS) has been realized. This paper presents the results of experimental and numerical investigations of the patterns formed by the overmoded apertures of the generators with one- and two-sectional SWS. For a numerical calculation of the patterns integral equations of electromagnetic fields in the Kirchhoff approximation were used
