Abstract :
A dual-band bandpass filter with independent bandwidth design was presented. The dual-band bandpass filter is constructed by the interleaving of two types resonators, where each type of resonator is arranged to form a passband. Therefore, the bandwidth of each passband can be independently determined from its own resonator parameters. The bandwidth equation was derived as the design guideline. The dual-band bandpass filter at 2.4 GHz and 5.25 GHz were design for demonstration. The measured results are in good agreement with the full-wave simulation results.
