Abstract :
Since three years, the International Office for Water (IOW) has taken part in the installation of exchange information networks. On the strength of these experiences, the IOW, which provides the permanent technical secretariat of the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO), has proposed the international development of AQUADOC-INTER. The "AQUADOC-INTER" project is now being continued with the operational development of the network in the countries which have decided to play an active role in water management, above all in Europe, Latin America and in Africa. In the Mediterranean area, its development is achieved through the Euro-Mediterranean Water Information System (EMWIS).
