Abstract

This article describes RF and antenna research undertaken by the Information and Communications research Laboratories of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (Hsinchu, Taiwan). This research focuses mainly on developing antennas, RF front end technology, and RF transceivers for use in fourth generation wireless (IMT-A) systems. Moreover, RF technologies in combination with continuous advances in emerging wireless technologies can significantly contribute to green and vital-sign sensing innovations.
