Abstract
In this paper, the revenue of connection admission control (CAC) system is studied and the optimal pricing strategy is found by using a UMTS simulator. This UMTS simulator calculates the revenue under two pricing strategy: the flat price, where the user pay the same price independent from the given rate and the service-based price, where the price is function of the rate. From the results we realize that CAC algorithm achieves higher revenue and the flat pricing remains as a feasible solution for implementation.
