  • Abstract
As the tri-networks convergence steps into the official implementing period in 2010 and the price of PON network end-to-end active equipment drops to below 600 RMB for each household, the access based upon traditional copper wire is unable to meet the need of tri-networks convergence in bandwidth guarantee and the disadvantage of idle ports of building facilities and high maintenance cost of overall lifecycle construction of optical fiber access network primarily based on FTTB+LAN in the value engineering also exposes gradually. With the purpose of fully promoting the advantages of FTTH network towards tri-networks convergence operations, low investment and wide coverage at initial phase, this dissertation brings forward suggestions about a number of issues concerning the cause of optical fiber access network plan building under the current full service operation in China through the analysis and comparison between the GPON/EPON in the present process of FTTH network construction and the current sample research on construction building.
