Abstract :
Hybrid code division multiple access (CDMA)/time division multiple access (TDMA) wireless asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks raise new issues in system performance. Of most concern is interference calculation and the possibility of interference control through scheduling. The interference problem for hybrid WATM networks is codified and an algorithm for quality of service (QoS) preservation is developed. Two different multiple-access strategies are proposed, with different benefits and drawbacks. Capacity results for simple service mixes are obtained
