Abstract
The Yarlung Zangbo River is one of the most abundant hydraulic energy rivers in China. As the longest and largest branch of Yarlung Zangbo River, the Lhasa River is the key issue of water resources exploitation in Tibet. However, there are few applications of flood forecast models to Lhasa River basin presently. Compared with Xinanjiang model and the correlation diagram method, a modified TOPMODEL was introduced and applied to Lhasa River basin for flood forecast. It was showed that the three models perform well for the basin, the lack of flood forecast models application to Lhasa River basin was made up and an attempt was made for research on flood forecast models in ungauged basins.
