  • Abstract
    We have used the shock heating of KTP substrates with a periodical SiO2 mask for the fabrication of periodic domain structures (PDS). The domain distribution after the fabrication process was revealed by nonlinear Talbot diffraction of second harmonic radiation. Preliminary results of second harmonic generation in a Rb:KTP channel waveguide with a PDS obtained by shock strain-induced formation indicate a higher efficiency than that usually obtained
