Abstract :
The integrated light coupling scheme from laser diode arrays to single-mode fiber arrays is one of important technologies in constructing practical fiber networks. Hemispherical end fibers for this use have desirable features such as simplicity, stability and the potential for attaining high coupling efficiency. In this paper we have proposed a new lensed-fiber coupling scheme which enables a long working distance, relatively high coupling efficiency, and large tolerance against misalignment
