Abstract :
As the increasing digitization of radars progresses towards the antenna, this paper explores how digital the antenna of a phased-array radar must be in order to meet particular performance requirements. This paper addresses the often asked questions “how many digital subarrays are needed” and “is element-level digitization required”?
