Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the industrial water conservation potential of Ningbo. This paper investigates water use condition of 33 key enterprises which come from six high-water-consuming sectors (paper making, textile and dyeing, thermal power, petrochemical sector, food and beverage, iron and steel). Based on water volume balance model, recycling rate, reuse rate, rate of water wastage, coefficient of fresh water use, recycling ratio and repeated use rate are calculated respectively to analyze water conservation potential of these key enterprises. And the paper also analyzes the overall water conservation potential and annual potential water conservation volume. The author concludes that if some necessary water conservation management and technical innovation measures are taken in enterprises, it is feasible to reduce the industrial water use by 20% in the coming future.
