Abstract
Summary form only given. In this work we report on single spatial mode ridge waveguide AlGaAs quantum well (QW) lasers fabricated using pulsed anodization. The fabrication of ridge waveguide lasers using pulsed anodization is relatively simple because of the self-aligning nature of the pulsed anodic process. An inherent feature of the pulsed anodization process is that the semiconductor material is consumed as a result of the oxide formation
