Abstract :
The paper presents a vector control structure for speed and demagnetizing longitudinal armature reaction of a wound-excited synchronous motor based on both, resultant stator-field and rotor-position orientation, working with capacitive, i.e. leading stator current. The synchronous motor is excited with constant uncontrolled current. There are presented simulation and experimental results. The implementation of the proposed control structure was performed on a test rig based on a dSPACE DS1104 controller card.
