Abstract :
Summary form only given. Fiber induced distortion may severely affect the perfomance of subcarrier multiplexed (SCM) systems. Both harmonic and intermodulation distortion due to laser chirp and optical fiber chromatic dispersion limit the capacity and extension of the SCM networks. In this work, an all-pass optical filter equalizer is considered to reduce harmonics and intermodulation product distortions in SCM systems
