Abstract :
According to the basic theory of the saturated - non-saturated unsteady seepage field, the finite element model of Wutagou floodway is built by using the equivalent continuum model to analyze seepage characteristics and seepage failure conditions of the embankment and the surrounding soil. Cut-off wall, impervious blanket, bedding and deepening the drains and other seepage control measures are compared, and the seepage characteristics of embankment and the surrounding soil are analyzed by using the seepage control measures. The results show that the subsoil water level of both floodway banks is high at flood period,, and in the exit of the seepage, the seepage gradient of the soil near the drains is greater than the allowing seepage gradient of the corresponding soil, thus the filter protection engineering measures needs to be selected. Considering the work amount and requirement of reducing the value and scope of the seepage gradient, the deepening 1.5m of drain measures and protection measures on the drain wall are selected.
