Abstract :
We have successful designed, constructed and evaluated a novel type of intelligent 2x1 photonic switch using birefringent computer generated holograms and polarization modulators. The performance of the switch has been evaluated to show good results. This type of photonic switch can be used to build ultrafast photonic networks for ATM and MIN applications
