Abstract :
An optical signal routing system utilizing grating coupling and epitaxial liftoff is demonstrated. This system is configured to enable easy interfacing with silicon circuitry. Alignment tolerances of the system are analyzed and experimentally evaluated for both substrate mode propagation and planar waveguide mode propagation
