Abstract :
The performance of the FFIAP policy in an integrated OTN/WDM switch is investigated. An analytical model is introduced to evaluate the switch blocking probability. The obtained results show that the new policy allows for a drastic reduction of the blocking probability. When the switch is 80% loaded, the blocking probability can reach a value lower than 10-6.
